Updated Coat Rack

I saw a unique hook at a thrift store, and since I own a shop space now and have given myself free reign to bring junk home, I picked it up. I figured I could somehow attach it to one of my $2 Habitat doors and turn it into a fun wall coat rack.
This hook was huge and so cool, but obviously needed some love to make it appealing. I used Liquid Nails (the clear silicon kind) to adhere it to the door. Gorilla Glue would also work great, but it seems to foam out everywhere and I didn't want to have to babysit it!
Next, I took out the two screws you see above and drilled a hole and added another screw underneath to help hold the coat rack firmly to the door. .
I guess It's obvious, but I painted the door and the hook before I adhered it to the board. I glazed it once it was attached though, so the darker color could collect in the grooves, where the hook meets the door.
That was all it took to have a really unique coat rack! So next time you see a unique hook out thrifting, you'll know to pick it up!
