How can I create entryway storage?
My landing by my back doorway is 4 1/2 feet long by 3ft. You can walk downstairs into the basement or step up 2 steps into the kitchen. Any suggestions for shoes & coats as people come in? With the door open there’s no room to hang a coat rack. When there are 2 or more pairs of shoes on the landing there’s little room to walk.

In my mudroom, I stacked and tied together plastic crates. That way you can use as many as you need and as wide as you need. You can always change the amount. Works great for my family.
Or you can hang a floating shelf for hats, screw hooks on the edge for keys & coats. And take your biggest shoe an hold it just above the baseboard they make round clear like command strips and hag them in pairs of two for shoes.hang a couple of cool command strips going at an angle up the wall for umbrellas us the to look like art.
