How to update small entryway with split level steps?
I have a very small entryway with steps that go up and steps that go down. I need ideas on how to make this area look nice. The my ceilings are about 9 to 10 feet high and its hard to paint the large wall on one side because of the steps going down. There's carpet on the steps I'm thinking about pulling up as well. Thank you.

Hi Amy,
Had you thought to add Cheerful pictures or Carpet/Rug or Mirrors etc.
I thought about pictures but the stairs going down make it hard to hang pictures. Currently I have carpet on the steps that I'm thinking about removing.
Easily remedied, get someone to help you. My brother and sister in law have a house exactly as you describe. They have a small console table with mirror, a bench, umbrella stand and coat rack. My SIL is a graphic artist, they made their own art.
Thanks for your reply. This might not be a bad idea.
If you pull up the carpet you can add stair treads. Maybe change out the lighting? Add a mirror to the space, I think it is a pretty small space but if a bench fits that might be good to put on shoes.
