Hickory Floor Sneak Peek (plus Hardwood Cleaning Tips)

We officially finished installing our hickory floors! Here's what I'm using to clean them - plus some other hardwood maintenance tips.
I still need to fix a few dings and install baseboard, but the flooring part is done! Yay!
The Bona Hardwood Floor Mop is my new favorite cleaning product. I've tried a few others but this one I like the best.
I especially like no cloth refills to buy, no batteries to buy, and no cords to plug in. Check out the post for more maintenance/cleaning tips.

I have bamboo floors and have used Bona on them. What I found is that over time it left a sticky residue. Now I just use vinegar and water and they are clean, shiny and residue free.

I grew up in an old house that was all hardwood. We only ever used vinegar and water. I managed an Inn and we used Swiffer and Bona and I always had to field comments about the fact a guest might spill something, wipe it up and the cloth would be black or brown. Yeh, those floor cleaners are gross.
