Have extra yarn? Have friends with left over yarn... scoop it all up!

Pom Pom makers

Step one: I made the first pompoms while watching TV in the evenings. As I made them I threw them in a basket until I had enough to make the rug. I made the first pompoms with an empty toilet paper roll initially, but then found this set of Pompom makers at Hobby Lobby. Much quicker and easier. ll

Latch hook canvas

Step 2: While watching TV, I cut the canvas to the size I wanted and trimmed the sides for a finished edge. I made this one to be the length of the crib. Should you want to have a specific pattern, draw it on the canvas at this time. This one was a collage so no pattern needed here.

Step 3: While watching TV in the evenings, I sat on the floor with my basket of pompoms, tied the pompoms to the canvas in a random order.

Final Product!

Step 4: Enjoy! My grandaughter LOVES her soft bedroom rug!

So soft!
