Anyone have any ideas about adding wood floors to butt up to laminate?

they make transition plates just for that purpose, check with your local flooring company they can show you how it will look
Home Depot, Lowes, And Menard's carry transition molding.
Why? Just continue with the laminate. Lumber Liquidators.
Ive seen this done. As long as the height of the floor is the same and the color of the wood is the same, transition shouldn't be that drastic. Good luck!
Even if the height of the floor is different, they make transition moldings for that too.
There are both, solid hardwood transition strips and laminate transition strips. However, the solid hardwood pieces will last a lot longer than the ones made out of laminate, but if it won't look good, and you're set on using a laminate transition, just go to wherever you purchased your laminate. They should be able to provide you with a matching piece. If the flooring heights are close to the same, you're going to want what is called a T-Molding. If there is a difference in the height of the floors, a Reducer or Multi-purpose reducer will work as your transition strip.
