Get Attends Undergarments. Remind hubby if he had a hernia, he might be wearing a girdle. This brand and other pull-ups for adults that are mostly Spandex fit extremely well. We put mini-pads or even maxi-pads inside mine for extra protection. If he can wipe his own bottom, that is a blessing for his sense of dignity and privacy. We (I) haven’t had a floor accident since I started wearing the quality pull-ups. And we keep a washable plastic pad and soft towel under me in my half of the bed. Best wishes!
Either ceramic TILE or porcelain tile is good. I’ve had pooches forever and “messes happen”. These clean up easily with paper towels and a spray of Windex!
I think I'd go with a porcelain tile that has a slightly rough texture to prevent slips and falls. The porcelain tiles won't absorb liquids since they are sealed by their finish but you will have to seal the grout lines. Porcelain tiles are much more durable then ceramic and will last a lifetime under normal wear. Try not to get tile that is to rough because they will pretty much eat up your mop heads if you mop often. I can't think of any other floor coverings that won't absorb odor or that won't be slick when wet. Hope this helps!
Vinyl plank flooring is waterproof. Looks like wood, tile, and porcelain.
Linoleum.
