You can clean them and. Paint them the same color as the ceiling so they won’t be as noticeable, you can drape fabric between them for a canopy effect. If you’re handy, a drop ceiling.Helpful Reply -

Can you put in a drop ceiling to hide them. Or paint them white to be less obvious.Helpful Reply -

Remove all the told paint and sand so they have a nice clean surface for a fresh color of cheery paint to stick to. I'd use a good spray paint. There are even some gorgeous new metallic paints available in to die for colors. Maybe even the beautiful Rose Gold.. or the antique copper or antique brass to give them a great steampunk'is industrial feel. Ugly pipes are so yesterday. Make them part of your decorating landscape by using beautiful colors.Helpful Reply -

Bulkheads are frequently employed to hide pipes near ceilings. It's just a two or three sided box (depending on where your pipes run) to cover the pipes.Helpful Reply -

I'm up with the idea of painting also. I saw a project where the pipes were painted black with a black ceiling. Not only did the pipes kind of recede but looked very nice with an industrial type of room.Helpful Reply -

Are the pipes covered that is peeling or is it just old paint? I agree with cleaning, sanding, and painting if it's old paint.Helpful Reply -

Hang up fabric! Nice clean white sheers will cover them but not feel confining. Mount with staples if you have beams, hot glue if other stuff. Good luck!Helpful Reply -
