Creases in new rug runner

Does anyone know how to get creases out of a rug runner with a rubber backing? We've tried putting books on it, heating it with a hair dryer, and dampening it and putting it in the dryer with no heat. Why they shipped this new rug folded and not rolled is beyond me.

I would try to fold it the other way to see if you can help erase the fold memory. You may need to call the retailer and as for their suggestion and exchange as this seems unacceptable!

Mine took several months. But by just laying it out on top of a non skid Matt so it couldn't move it slowly leveled out.

time..... it needs time to relax and adjust to the temp in your home. that is the only way for it to get rid of the crease.. unless you have a rug installed nail/ stretch it down.
