How can I fix squeaky floors without removing floor covering?
I have an older home with wood plank floors cover with either inlaid vinyl and/or carpeting. They squeak a lot. How can they be fixed without damaging the floor coverings?

You can purchase Squeeks No More. Attach the device to your drill. The srews come with a prescored point that will snap off below the floor level. It won't be detectable through carpeting, but I don't know how it might be with vinyl.
See Thisoldhouse.com or go to Squeeksnomore website for instructional video.
It works very well on older hardwood floors.
Hello there, I have the same problem. Unless you can get to the floor boards it is impossible. If you can get to them try French Chalk (Talc).
