Fixing cracked cement floor in garage

by Lynne
Hi! The cement floor in my garage has a bit of a "faultline" running down it. It had been remodeled by the previous owners from a single stall with a sreennporch to a 2 stall garage. I don't know if the climate here in Minnesota or an improper job caused it, but I was wondering if I could just fill in the crack with more cement. Or will it need any other material or tactics as well.

Added concrete mix will just crack back out. The slabs on either side of the crack are moving in relation to each other. Your hardware store will have a selection of flexible caulks made to fill the crack. Follow directions on the tube.

    Hi Toycars,

Lowe's sells Quikrete Acrylic concrete patch that works really well. We just used this in our garage and after two years it's still looking great! Hope this helps. It's only about $9 and one container fills a crack about 38ft long.
