How can I upgrade my old laminate floor?

Are you wanting to put a new floor down? If so, without removing the existing flooring?
Why do you need to "grate" up your laminate floor? If you are removing it the laminate will come up easily as laminate floors are usually installed as floating floors. It just unsnaps with each piece.
If it's scuffed and dull, try rejuvinate before you rip it out and start over. Remember it's plastic not wood.
