How can I fix bumps in my carpets?
My carpets are bunching up in places. I don't know how to fix it, do I just need to replace all of it? In one space it's pretty awful and looks like the carpet is folding in half almost, but most places it's just a little bit of a bump.

It needs to be re-stretched. Call your carpet installer to do it. They may charge less (I'm assuming it's out of warranty) .
^ Have it stretched, the sooner the better. The high spots will wear first if you don't. When I sold my home two years ago, a hallway, living room, and two bedrooms was $100 from a guy a realtor recommended.
If you are referring to indents left by furniture, you can steam them out by putting a damp towel over the mark and iron.
It definitely needs to be re-stretched. Any carpet installer can do it and most carpet cleaners can do it as well. Some of the indents look like they might be from where the pad underneath has separated, so you can have them check that as well and fill in any gaps as needed.
Hello Danielle,
We have had our carpets restreched at a previous home -it was amazing how much was cut away. Suggest doing that- we tried renting a carpet stretcher and that did not work well for us.
My parent's carpet did this during the summer after it was installed. They called the original layers and they restretched it and they never had the problem again.
