  It's not crazy at all . In fact , you aren't even the first person to ask me that question . You have to use a layer of self leveling concrete over the existing tile floors . Then you can put down vinyl tile or vinyl plank which is I'd go with . It's more attractive and durable .

Grout is years old and dingy. Trying to avoid having to scrape out old grout and put in new. Four large rooms! Kitchen and bath are worse than living areas.
