How can I make an old outdated ceilings big fan look nice?
We have 3 sad looking, outdated ceiling fans. They are gold with wimpy looking, wood grain blades.

You can paint fan blades. I painted mine black and they were originally orangey oak. You can use any paint and put a wipe on poly over them to seal it. You can spray paint any metallic components as well. Here are some other ideas too:
