Thanks, but the damage seems so slight, I'd like to just try to creatively restore a very small spot, rather than replacing the entire entryway floor.
See if you can find a similar vinyl and color. Cut the damaged part and replace with the new.
Best solution I have not knowing the color of the vinyl flooring. Lightly sand the affected circle. Prime with a stain blocking primer. Using craft paint and sharpies let the artist in you come out. Try to duplicate the color and pattern. May want to practice on some scrap paper. If the vinyl has a shine (most does) use a clear glaze coating over the painting. Polyurethane can crack and peel.
