How can I cover my kitchen ceiling inexpensively?
I need to put a covering on my ceiling because it's not smooth and just painting it isn't enough. The Mud that was on there cracked and need to be scraped off. Is there anything I can cover it with that don't coast a lot and will last beside more mud? Thanks

I had a ceiling in a kitchen dining area that had popcorn ceiling stuff on it... When we scraped it down it would of needed a professional to to re do it. I used textured wall paper that looked like metal tiles. and then painted it a a silver.
The wall paper also works for back splash, was/is available at Lowe's and Home Depot and cost about $18 a roll when I got mine, If your kitchen is small this shouldn't cost that much. My area was fairly large so I used a special glue. I also had to have helpers... but the results were extremely good
I really love the look of tin ceiling tiles. The are relatively inexpensive running about $2-3 per square foot.
There are all kinds of ceiling tiles. When I was a kid, my mom even put stick on floor tiles on the ceiling. You could also put beadboard or ship lap on your ceiling.
