How do I cover a stucco ceiling?

If its your style, look into 'Tin Ceiling Panels' at a big box store - not expensive, easy to cut to size and goes up quickly. thinking of doing my florida room this way!

The best method is to go over the whole ceiling with another layer of 1/2 inch drywall. To try and remove the stucco or textured ceiling is very messy.

I used the lightweight squares that look like stamped antique tin ... put up with liquid nails ... not this brand... but ...

You can strip with 1x4s and put up new sheet rock. I covered my kitchen with tin panels but that's rather pricey. You can also do wood, styrofoam panels that look like pressed tin.
