How do I hide these ugly "button" ceilings?

    Hide? You could fasten drywall under this but it would be better to remove and replace with drywall. The manufacturers knew that this was not a good look, but those "buttons" and strips are there to hold the ceiling up. They are not decorative. You could glue wood strips over this but the fastening system may not be able to hold the additional weight.

      I remodeled on older mobile home that had ceilings like this. I tore that ceiling out and installed a 2x4s along the roof trusses to support the additional weight of the drywall.

    Have you enough room to cover with corrugated aluminum or headboard anchored along the walls ?

      I don't understand. Anchored below the ceiling to help hold up the weight? I've never seen corrugated aluminum used inside. I am new to this so I'm sorry to ask for more explanation...

    Use the art of distraction. Just make sure you have an interesting focal point in the room so your eyes don't travel to the ceiling e.g., a gorgeous fresh flower arrangement.
