I have bamboo floors, how do I keep foot/shoe prints from showing?
I only use the product (Bellawood) that the floor company recommended. I sweep & clean daily because of the foot prints & shoes etc.
Get your self some two sided tape for the corners it peels off when needed
Roll the rug up tightly in the opposite direction. If the end does not stay rolled, tie a string around it to keep it from unfurling. Leave for several hours. Then unroll and lay flat again in the upright position.
If the area rug is still curling up, then putting a layer of non-slip paddiing underneath should keep the rug flat.
I would not recommend using double-faced tape, as it is difficult to cleanly remove and often permaently mars the flooring that it has been stuck to.
Hi Paula, we use masking tape and scrunch it into a flattened ball with the sticky side on the outside. It does the trick.
Easy to remove double sided tape.
Double sided carpet tape, you can get it at Amazon:

You can use carpet tape, but it may damage the floor. Try steaming the corners and then placing something heavy on them to weigh them down until they dry. Put plastic under the rug if you're concerned about the steam damaging your floor.
I just bought Alien tape. You get 4 rolls that are 10' long. You can hang things on the wall with it! I put a strip on each end of my 12 FOOT hall runner and it hasn't budged since. I have one area rug that has a corner that turns up. I used it there a well. Just a 3" strip diagonally on the corner. Perfect.
I usually roll the rug up the opposite way and band it together for a day or so, then relay it and if the edges still roll up, place a stack of books at those locations for a day or so. Usually the rug will "relax" and lay as it should.
Steam it to get it to lay flat then put double sided tape on the edges to secure. I like using Alien Tape because it's suction rather than sticky.
Stick Velcro under. Or Pin in place.
Two sided tape of an under piece for the rug
Perhaps put something heavy on all corners overnight to keep it flat
Carpet tape, it's double sided and doesn't damage the floor.
I use this double sided tape: https://amzn.to/3sozUv5
I keep seeing products on Amazon touted to keep rugs from curling up, here via this affiliate link. I haven't tried them personally but they might do the trick.
