How do I get furniture marks out of carpeting?

When moving furniture around, the old furniture marks are impaled into the carpeting. Is there an easy way to get the carpet to stand up straight again?Jms, Brookfield, OH

I once saw simple trick of ice cube in the impressed carpet fibers with little time.
Trying putting ice cubes on the flattened area, leave overnight to dry and vacuum. The carpet will spring back, good luck.
Put an ice cube on the dent and let it melt for a few hours. Blot excess water and use a spoon to lift up the carpet fibers. That should help.
Agree with above ice cube suggestions.
