I have tile in my bathroom and it got scratched badly- what can I do?

tried to rub it out with baking soda and water paste. It took the color out. Now I have a mess and have no replacement tile to repair it...anybody have an idea?
You don't say what color your tile is. I have had success with appliance repair paint - the kind that comes in small nail polish sizein almond for my almond colored tile.
