Ask the flooring pros at your home improvement store. Bring Before photos and a budget. Use their expertise! It's free!

Go to a flooring store as well as the big box store.

Once you narrow down your choices I’d suggest bringing home some samples - as big as possible and leave them where your dogs walk. See what sample gets the least scratched by their nails. Even if you have to pay for it - it’s worth it before you install a whole room or house! :)

I put Coretec in my parents house one year ago. They don’t have dogs, but they have a gravel driveway and wear their shoes in the house. It looks great. I know this is the same brand Walmart put in their dressing areas and it is high traffic. When I went to the flooring store to explore the different manufacturers, the store had Coretec as their entry floor and after 3 years it still looked good. I think it is very realistic in appearance.
