How do I choose a replacement for my kitchen floor?

Kitchen has brown cabinets -formica type counters ..all in good shape will not be replacing. The adjacent floors going into hallway and LR are very old (100 yrs old) with and orange/oak finish. Will not refinish now because the the rest of the house has these floors and it “flows well” throughout house😉 Just want to replace kitchen floor. Hardwood would clash. Help me decide 🙀Thanks!
Can you install tile in the kitchen? There are some very nice porcelain tiles that look like wood, some in light shades, that are very durable for a kitchen.
I had the same problem Patricia with all the antique wood furniture in my attached dining room. I went with hard flooring squares. They are not ceramic sorry I can't give you a better name for them but I am in love with them. You can grout between them or butt them tight together. 16 x 16 squares with swirls of colors in them and easy to keep clean-not slippery when wet.
Tile might be a good choice. It holds up well, is easy to clean, and comes in an almost endless array of colors and finishes.
guess the floor should be a light color??🧐
Brick pavers are a nice transition to wood floors!
