Hi. I want to remove popcorn from my bedroom ceiling and hide fan wire
Want to hide fan wire in concrete ceiling and attach it behind shitrock to electric outlet. Any tips on how to remove a popcorn ceiling?
We have did this in our house, only in the bathrooms, we used hot water and soaked it down then used a scraper,sm area at a time. Very messy, thats why we have not did kit. Or frontroom yet,in time. Make sur you cover floor,oh yea use a good lg. Spray pump bottle, found pump bottle works better and your hand does'nt get as tired, good luck
Physically demanding if out of shape. Hard to cover and keep items in the room below clean, if you got the time and determination no problem, however, the determination is the key factor. Check you tube for examples. Get needed items (all) before you start. Oh, timing is your friend if you do not have to rush the job. Haste makes waste is true doing most any job. Not to be started the day before company arrives unless they are to finish what you are starting. Have fun and smile. This DITY is a confidence builder depending on your prior experiences.
It is messy and working overhead is physically demanding. Also, you may have to repair the sheetrock once you scrape off all that texture. Sometimes it's easier to cover it, in my opinion. Depending on the age of the house, the original paint may contain lead.
