Should the floor tiles be installed lengthwise or widthwise??

i am currently renovating my apt galley kitchen (135”l x85”w) with appliances running along both sides It’s badically shaped like an open rectangle but more long/narrow view So not a lot of floor tiles exposed. My floor tiles are 12x24 which I want to lay down in offsetimg seams like brickwork. The backsplash are narrow rectangular glass and metal mosaic blend running horizontally. Questions is should the floor tiles be installed lengthwise or widthwise???

I think lengthwise will make kitchen look longer
Widthwise will make the space feel more cohesive. If you run them lengthwise it will make the space look narrower and longer. If your tiles were square, I would say set them in a diamond pattern.
