Adura Lock-Solid by Mannington. We chose the buckskin color for a rental townhouse that has 4 tenants. He holds up really well.

Quarter sawn maple or oak are very hardy and stand up to wear very well. Regular cut oak is less expensive and can last for I long time but not as hardy as quarter sawn oak. We bought a 1929 house almost 3 decades ago with oak floors and they are still in good shape. (except for a little creaking in one spot). But after almost 90 years, that's great.

Cypress wood will last longer than almost any wood. We went the opposite way with wood laminate because hardwood or stone is so bad on my legs. We have stone laminate in the kitchen area for the same reason. So far, the small scratches made when nobody pulled a metal bar across the floor have not been a problem. I pulled out my wood stain markers by iit (Illinois Industrial Tech.) and hubby colored the little scratches right away. Btw, nobody is my little grands, currently. I ask, Who did this? The answer is, Nobody! Best wishes on your decision 😇
