What to do with (or instead of) a drop ceiling in kitchen
Working on my dad's kitchen, he's in a condo and has a cement ceiling w/ a drop ceiling to hide the wires and drain pipe from an upstairs bathroom. I would like to open it up as much as possible, but was hoping to not create a ton more work. Any suggestions?

You could open it up and use box beams or those fake wood beams that are hollow to hide things.
I like Becky's suggestion. Depending where the drian pipe and wires are you can just box them in with a soffit or bulkhead. Wires can be rerouted to where the drain is. Giving you the option of removing the drop ceiling and painting the concrete
William & Becky - thank you. That is a great idea, but the drain pipe is at an angle, but I may give that a try.
Again - thank you.
