Whats the best way to get hardwood floor stains out without sanding?

I pulled up the carpet in my old house which is over 100 years old and it has beautiful hardwood floors underneath but there are a few stains. I would like to keep them the exact way they are but I'd like to remove the stains without sanding.

You can try fixing it up with hydrogen peroxide. Rub the stain with using a rag and let it bleach out the stains.

    1. Soak a cotton rag with hydrogen peroxide.
    2. Place the wet rag on the stain and allow it to soak in the wood to bleach out the stain.
    3. Remove the rag, and wipe up any excess hydrogen peroxide.
    4. Allow the floor to dry.

Another option is to try using a rejuvenator type wood floor cleaner on the stain. Watch this video to find out more.

Murphy oil soap. It is good for wood and will lift water stains.

Thank you for your reply I'm going to try the Murphy's Oil Soap first and then if not I will try the hydrogen peroxide.

Above ideas great-just depends on your stains. If they're black-could be mineral stains caused by water or something metal sitting on the wood. Could also be pet stains if they have a green tinge and smell when wet or damp.
