On a Blue Sky Sunny Day like Today, a Gutter without a Downspout is Not a Problem.

But When It Rains, without the Downspout…Ugh, We Have a Big Puddle, Muddy Mess.

Here is a Simple DIY Fix that is Super Reasonable, Easy to Do, and So Fun to See!

A RAIN CHAIN!!!

Rain chains help to direct water to rain barrels, landscaped beds, or other water features. Just be sure the water flowing from the chain is flowing away from the foundation of your home.

Amazon has an Almost Never Ending Collection of Rain Chains. Pick One that Speaks to Your Heart. 🙂

My Pick was a Rain Chain of Copper Pails…Amazon LINK.

Decorative Planter Pot...Amazon LINK.

Here’s the SIMPLE DIY to Install Your Own Rain Chain!

First, Drill a Tiny Hole at the end of the gutter.

Anchor the Rain Chain Hook in the Hole to Secure.

The chain should hang straight down and end in a bucket…or Decorative Pot…or Rain Barrel…or French Drain.

Each copper pail has an opening at the top and a hole in the bottom to allow for the flow of water down the chain.

Now All You Need to Do is Wait for the Rain!

It Works!

Absolutely Magical!

Love the Delicate Sound of Rain Traveling Down the Chain.

A Touch of Sparkle “House Jewelry” Rain Chain Will Make You Happy!

And Keep Your Feet Dry!
