A photo taken in the garden of the owner of Southern Trillium.

This photo helps demonstrate the importance of texture in the garden. Notice that not a single flower is visible. All interest is found in the variation of textures and shades of green. This photo was taken on May 31.

My garden is similar mostly shades of green, very few flowers grow in the shade here under the red cedar trees.
  • Beautiful use of texture and color. Varying textures are a great way to make any garden exhibit that "special something" , especially in the shade. In the sun, the sky's the limit.
