If You Love Hydrangeas, Then You Need to Have This One!

I have had a new obsession for the past couple years-
hydrangeas.
I just love them.
This year I got the chance to add a few more varieties to my yard off the markdown rack. I usually do not brag or recommend any plant until I have had a full year with it in my gardens but this time I have to break my own rules.
I would like to introduce you to my newest and most favorite hydrangea-Mini Penny from Monrovia nurseries.
This has been the best hydrangea I have ever tried to grow. It has bloomed for me since I bought it off the markdown rack all wilted and shriveled up. This gorgeous plant is for all of us in zones 5-9 who have shade and part sun areas.

This one was a twig when I put it in the ground 3 moths ago.

this one was too small to put in the ground so it has been in a pot and now is ready to be put in the ground, maybe

I do not care what color they are and you would never know that 3 of them are in the same soil because this one is blue

And this one was more pink to purple

A new bloom has been emerging and it is September!

I see that "Mini Penny" was developed by Michael Dirr, who knows a thing or two about plants!
