How do I care for my African Violets?
I won an African violet 5-6 months ago. it was doing well in it's location. I watered it only once a week. Think I made the mistake of watering from the top, because there was not much drainage from the bottom so some leaves became wet. I removed the droopy leaves, as pinching what had died off.last week I transplanted [with African violet soil] to a 1 inch larger pot with drainage and included African violet food with the water. I have also moved it to my window sill which is brighter, but not direct sun. How am I doing or does anyone have recommendations?

don't fuss over it so much water it when it's dry not on set schedule only water soil not plant top needs really bright light no direct sun give it some water soluble miracle grow fertilizer 2x a year pinch off dead leaves and blooms.#1 killer of house plants too much water and transplanting and constant moving them
You can buy violet pots which are a pot for the violet/dirt and it sits in an outside pot to put water in. That way the violet drinks what it wants. Makes it so much easier to take care of violets plus the lighting is important also. Sounds like you are doing well.
