Can I plant my Bulb's in pots and keep them covered outdoors until the last Frost?

    Yes, you can plant your bulbs in pots, but it is best to keep them in a warm place until you can place them outside. Be sure to harden them off in the shade before placing them in full sun.

    Hi Robin,

    It's best to keep them in a plastic bag that is in a cool, dark place for storage until fall. If you put them in pots they may try to grow and that might weaken the plants. Here's an article with more information that I found for you. Wishing you the best.

      These are both strictly warm/Spring planting Dahlia/tubers & Freesia/corms don't worry they grow quick so you'll have them thru out summer & into fall. They need to die back completely then dig them up,snip off dead tops, layer between newspaper and stack in cardboard box. Don't forget to label them. put them in dry,cool/cold not freezing place til next Spring. They will continue to reproduce so everytime you dig them up you'll have more. Wait until you smell the Freesia and look how beautiful the Dahlias are Good Choices!!
