Can you replant a hyacinth plant from a grocery store and when?
Does anyone know how to grow hyacinths bought from the grocery store, I would like to replant them and need to know the best time to do this?

Yes most certainly and plant it now .Most do not realize those plants are greenhouse grown and will no make it to the fallAs long as your weather is warm and the ground is workable it will be fine.Leave all the foliage on the plant as the biulbs feed from that.
With all the ones given to me over the years, I now have a lovely collection of hyacinth, tulips, Easter lillies and daffodils. When they die back naturally, I repot and place in the shade and lt them do their thing. Early last December we had a hot spell and a tiny lavender hyacinth bloomed out of season along with my pineapple sage. Go figure. In late winter I pull all the pots out and fluff them up a bit and nature provides me with a beautiful bounty.
If in a colder climate, yes, plant in fall for beautiful spring flowers.
