Hibiscus buds closed….will they open
Yesterday morning I bought 3 bright yellow hibiscus plants in full bloom and they’re beautiful. So I repotted them last night and when I saw them this morning those blooms are closed tight! Will they reopen? There are new buds forming on the plant also. So disappointed! Thank you!

Hello. This link might be helpful.

The beautiful, exotic-looking flowers are short-lived, typically blooming for only one day. Once finished blooming, the flower will close up and drop off. There is also a shell-like structure supporting the flower. This too withers and drops a few days after the flower fades.

Hi Chriss,
This is completely normal, and no cause for concern. Hibiscus are beautiful, and part of that beauty is that their blooms are short-lived. Each bloom will last one or two days before closing, and then new buds will open.
We have a large hibiscus, and I always love to see it bloom in the summer. I imagine you will have years of happiness with your plants!
They are short lived, but here is how to get more blooms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl1hhp3ADx0
The blooms on hardy and tropical hibiscus plants only last one to two days at most. Specialty hybrids can have longer-lasting blooms, some lasting up to one week. During the bloom cycle, when one flower drops, a new bud opens.
They are short-lived, but it sounds like you have more that will bloom soon!
They are very brief bloomers so it's likely not a cause for concern.
Not to worry, their booms are short lived because that is a characteristic of the plant. More buds are about to open and amaze you.
Hello, they flower on new wood but the flowers are short lived, you should be alright, hope this helps you out,

There's nothing to worry about, since their blooms are just short-lived.
The blooms on a hibiscus do not last long usually 24 hours. Just feed with Miracle Grow and water and they will bloom again
I think you are fine. Just continue to feed, check water, and you should have more buds in the future.
You will have new blooms soon.
I had a beautiful one that was a gift. Lots of sunshine and watch for bugs (aphids seem to love them) and you will have a beautiful plant that will grow as large as it can in its pot and give you beautiful blooms. My daughter has had one for years and it looks like a small tree!
If you have a problem with aphids get lady bugs that is natures way of getting rid of aphids. Got 1,000 of them to keep aphids away from plants outside.
My dog used to eat the blooms when they would close the next morning!
