At any given time did you prune the Hydrangea,Give it fertilizer?
If you prune the hydrangea you will get green that year only. It should bloom the next year. I purchased a house with sorely neglected hydrangea bushes. I pruned and pulled out the dead wood and got lots of healthy green. This year I have flower buds!
Water!!
buy some miracle grow mur-acid
your soil needs to be ,more acid.
Blooms come out on mine when I realized you cannot cut it down in the fall. In Michigan I was told to wait until May or June to trim. My neighbor cuts it all down every fall and it never blooms.
it depends on the type of hydrangea you have. Some hydrangeas bloom on old wood and some on new wood. This will determine when and how much you prune, which in turn determines the growth and production of blooms. Hydrangeas like both acid and alkaline soil. The color of the blooms are determined by the soil.
