orchids or orchard? if orchid then:
Pick a pot that will allow for one to two years of growth, but nothing larger than that. If you're not sure about how much growth there will be, opt for a pot that’s just 1–2 in (2.5–5.1 cm) larger than the current one.
You can use plastic or terracotta pots for orchids. Terra cotta pots require more frequent watering.
Use pots with holes in the sides so there will be good air flow and drainage.
Opt for a shallow pot versus a deep one to prevent water buildup. Popular mediums for orchids include coconut husk, sphagnum moss, perlite, fir bark, and mixtures of these.
Some of the roots need to be out of the pot so it can breath. If the pot is too big, the orchid will just continue to grow roots ...to repot, just lift orchid out, clear all dirt and mulch off, trim off dead roots and repot the same as old pot. Don't force roots into pot, they will break.

Hi! I assume you mean orchid (autofill gets me too!). When I transplanted mine, I bought a larger container to replant it in and a bag of soil for orchids. It's been six months and it is doing well. Good luck!
