It depends on what you used. If you used a chemical, look on the product to find that information. It's hard for us to answer your question without knowing exactly what you used to kill the weeds. Wishing you the best.
Usually it'll say on the back of the weed killer how long you need to wait before planting Linda. Lots of the over the counter ones you can actually plant pretty quickly as they are short acting.
That said, I would always be really cautious planting edibles in ground that has been treated and would personally wait a year or ideally never use them at all.
Yes it's fine......that being said it is a chemical I would not use around any edibles and only when needing to kill hard to remove invasive woody stalked plants.Round up breaks down in soil quickly but long term steady use(years) affects the microbes which are essential to healthy soil. How long do I have to wait to plant after spraying weeds with Roundup?
According to Scotts, the manufacturer of Roundup (glyphosate) weed killer, its safe to plant ornamental flowers, shrubs, and trees the next day.
