I've heard it might be tricky. Is it true? What is the best way to that? It's this year's plant. No flowers yet.
Sunflowers are usually an annual and need to be replanted. Love them!!!!!
What kind are they? Some are perennial(come back) some are annual(needs reseeded). If you have picture or know what kind they are I can tell you more. Usually the annual type will reseed themselves but only if they have been able to go to seed & heads weren't removed so they could drop their seeds. This also applies to the perennial types they grow both ways.there are many different varieties of sunflowers
You'll need new seeds. I love sunflowers!
New seeds because they're an annual. However sometimes when they go to seed they drop out and will grow.
Plant new seeds. If they are left alone until the seeds have been consumed by birds, they will reseed naturally - sometimes. I just toss seeds where I want them and they come up on their own.
