What to do when your Iris are done blooming

My Iris are done blooming .. do I leave as is or trim them back?

Hi Jan,
I'm learning about how to care for iris' too. My neighbor gave me some last year so this is the first year they have bloomed. The guide I'm following is from "The Old Farmer's Almanac". Click here and scroll down to the care section, where it explains what to do after your iris' are done blooming. Wishing you the best.
You can cut off the spent bloom if you like. Generally you just leave them alone and cut them back until Fall.
leave the leaves to feed the bulb that is in the ground, cut back in fall or leave
I always leave my iris and lily until fall, then cut them back. But if you don't like how the naked stems look you can always cut them off
