Hi Jan, You could try making a solution of one tablespoon of Epson Salt dissolved in a gallon of water. Pour it on the soil at the base of the plant. Then give the plants more water. The extra water will help the roots receive the E Salt that much quicker. This process puts enzymes in soil and plants flourish with it. Repeat every two weeks. Best of luck to you.
