Complete Backyard Redo

After a massive Colorado snow storm took out nearly everything in our backyard..it was time to re-think what we were going to do here.
The deck was a hazard, shade destroyed.
Step 1: laying a design out. In our small area we had to move things here and there and worked around it, but first to do was layout where the main grill was going.
Step 2: laying down the foundation, pavers.
What we were going for, my 1st go at autocad.
Cement pavers going down for grill #1 .
Moved grill canopy over.
We left areas with no pavers for visual detail and a great place for accidental grease to disappear. Later mulch will fill in all these areas. Moved the grill over.
Extending further with the paver's for the next item.
Grill in place.
Step 2 to continue...
pizza oven and bar area paving and removing the rotted out deck.

Did you have to use a tamper to ge the ground level, ir did you just not worry about that?
Didn't you use any cement to set the paving slabs?
