Are you looking for tips on building your own DIY backyard fence? We help you with tips on how to crank this project out while keeping a sense of humor.

After laying out where the fence posts must be, the first step is to dig or drill the holes for each fence post.

We were ready to start drilling!

Drill each hole right on the marks that you have laid out. It is okay to start on an angle and then straighten up after the bit has started.

When the holes are complete, pour 1 - 2" of gravel in each hole prior to adding any cement.

After each post is in and the cement has setup, you can start to hang each fence panel if you have already purchased pre-fab fence panels.

We are very pleased how this project turned out. It really has added a wow factor to our backyard as well as giving us much needed privacy.

Suggested materials:

He did think it was totally cool. It certainly made the process quicker. We dug our last fence holes by hand and there is no comparison!
