How to Remove Large Bushes In An Hour

$300
1 Hour
Easy
I had finally had it. The bushes in the front yard were roughly 30 years old and way overgrown so I decided to have them professionally removed. The process is fairly simple. All it takes is a chainsaw, which many of you already have on hand, but instead of digging each bush out with a shovel, I hired landscapers to bring in the big guns! ......the stump grinder!!!! If you have never seen a stump grinder you are in for a treat. This sucker chewed up everything in its path and made ridding of the old bushes a quick and easy task that took about an hour or less. Here are some pictures of the process.
First on guy takes his chainsaw and cuts the bus down to a nub.
One t hat is done we're ready for the stump grinder.
Here comes the next guy with the big guns!
Stand back! .....see that large blade? It will grind up everything within its reach down to about a foot!
I liked having the stump grinder used for a couple reasons. First off, it made the job so much easier than manually digging them out with a shovel. These were 30 year old Yews that were roughly five feet or more round so their stumps were quite large and it would have taken forever! The other reason is because during the grinding process it basically tills up your soil so that you already have a hole ready for the new plant to be put in! Score! Less shoveling that YOU have to do!
