Unique Lavender Tower

I have had a Lavender bush in my herb garden for a few years. I'm embarrassed to say that I've never done anything with it. This year the bush did really well and I thought I should at least do something with the lavender sprigs.
I harvested some lavender sprigs. I've read it's best to harvest after the morning dew is gone, but before the heat of the day. Also hanging the sprigs upside down is suppose to help bring the oils down into the heads of the lavender.
I thought that maybe a lavender orb or sphere might be cool, but I had a foam cone sitting around and decided to test out the idea on the cone. I poked the lavender into the foam about every 1/4". Check blog for tips.
The texture of the tower turned out really cool, love the little purple blooms. I probably waited a little to long to harvest the lavender, some of the blossoms had turned brown. The lavender tower is fun and unique. Not to mention the amazing aroma of the lavender. The tower kind of looks like Christmas in July. I can't wait to try the orb, I think it'll be cool.

Check blog post for final outcome. It's a perfect way to

@Hertoolbelt Thanks so much for weighing-in on my question to Tobbie Burkhardt. Lavender has always been a favorite of mine, and I'm sure I am going to like what I find about lavender bottles/wands. Gratefully, Denise
