Growing Spring Onions - a Great Cut and Come Again Veggie.

Spring onions are a very mild onion that can be eaten raw in salads. They are also often used as a substitute for standard onion varieties when you do not want a strong pungent taste.
The onions are easy to grow in partial sunlight in well drained soil. Mulching keeps the weeds away and helps to keep the soil from drying out.
A neat trick with spring onions is to use the "cut and come again" method. Just cut off the green part and leave the bulb in the ground. It will sprout new growth.
