Mini Desert Gardens...

This is one of those 'oh so cute, but let's put up a 'danger' sign' kind of projects.
But if you love cacti you'll love this.
Here is how to create a quirky desert style mini garden for the coffee table.
To create you will need:

3 x small glass bowls, sand, potting mix, 3 x baby cactus plants
Line each bowl with wet sand and press into place.

Then a layer of potting mix.

Make a paper collar to put round the cactus and plant in bowl.

Put another layer of sand on it.

Note: There are NO drainage holes in the bowls so minimal watering is required. They also need a sunny position in your home.
Display on your table (or window sill.

I put my mini desert gardens into small display boxes on the coffee table.
