you certainly can! I have 3 fruiting plants right now. it takes time but they are fun and great for families. we live in new Iberia and our plants stay outside except for cold winters when small.this past winter i erected a small greenhouse using plastic sheeting because the plants got to about 5' wide! i'm changing over to hard clear sheeting so we can continue growing pineapples and other vegetables.
