I have a bush that has leaves similar to a chrysanthemum but it has thorns. Don't know if it's a plant or a weed! It was here when we moved in last summer.
It looks like a ZZ plant (also spelled Zee Zee). They are drought tolerant and don't like much care. I have one in my house, they are supposed to be slow growing, but my little one has doubled in size in the past three months. As a house plant they don't even get fertilized but once or twice a year if ever. I believe it is considered a tropical plant. They are not real showy, but yet are attractive with the upright branching and leaves. They almost look like a succulent. I am giving you the site I found them at that was good. I have a hard time finding them where I live, but being on the gulf coast, you may be able to find them. I lived in Galveston for almost five years back in the eighties. Here is the site I found:
